At the end of a football game the commentators will head out to the end zone to comment on the event. They will often be joined by key players to look back at the game and reflect on how things went, or how they could have gone better. Chapter 4 of the second epistle to Timothy was the last thing Paul ever wrote. It was written while Paul was on “death row” in a Roman prison awaiting execution. Paul was at the end of his life, in the “end zone” so to speak, and writing down his reflections of a life dedicated in service to Jesus.
